Nigeria Tech Price Watch

Technology prices in Nigeria, checked and dated

Tech Embed Price Watch is a maintained dataset of selected technology prices observed for Nigerian buyers. Every observation carries a check date so readers can distinguish current evidence from an undated “price in Nigeria” claim.

Last dataset check: 3 October 2026 · Published records: 6 · Current coverage: Samsung smartphones. Coverage will expand only when Tech Embed can preserve the exact variant and a verifiable source.

Current dataset — 3 October 2026

Important: A baseline observation has no earlier Tech Embed observation to compare with. Tech Embed does not invent a previous price simply to produce a percentage movement.

What these figures mean

Each figure is an observed listing, not a claim that every Nigerian retailer sells the device at that price. Seller, colour, stock, promotion, warranty, delivery location and final checkout amount can change. Different RAM or storage configurations are treated as different records.

Current marketplace evidence also shows why variant-level tracking matters. Jumia’s Samsung store lists multiple A26 configurations and prices, while A17 listings vary by configuration and seller. Price Watch records one defined observation rather than presenting a marketplace range as a national average.

How Tech Embed records prices

  1. Identify the exact model and configuration. RAM, storage and network version matter.
  2. Record the observed price and source. The check date is stored with the record.
  3. Separate baseline from history. Price movement is calculated only when an earlier stored observation exists.
  4. Preserve limitations. Marketplace observations are not described as universal Nigerian retail prices.

Price history

The dataset is now structured so subsequent checks can preserve the previous observation before updating the current price. As the observation history grows, Tech Embed can report genuine changes over time instead of relying on retailer “was” prices or undocumented historical figures.
